Last week in the Chinese industrial province of Henan, the presentation of the MiningWorld Ukraine exhibition was held.
The organizers are exclusive exhibition agent CCPIT in China and China ITE Group presented current information on the political and economic situation in Ukraine to Chinese companies, as well as data on mining and road conditions. Chinese manufacturers of equipment heard about the place of the extractive industry of Ukraine on the world map for the first time. Most were surprised by the fact that Ukraine is ranked 6th in the world for the extraction of titanium, 7th - for the production of iron ore and 8th - for extraction of manganese. An important factor in considering entering the foreign market is the availability of information about it. So, short presentation of the interactive Ukrainian minerals map, generated by SSPE "Heoinform Ukraine" and the Geological Survey of Norway was another benefit in favor of greater attention to our market.
BuildTech, which is a special exhibition division, presents construction, road, mining and special engineering. With the growth of financing for construction and repair of roads, the market of special equipment also grows. Therefore, another argument was adduced that since 2018, the State Road Fund operates in Ukraine, from which the construction and repair of roads for the amount of 32 billion UAH were financed. (1.2 billion dollars). The total amount spent on Ukrainian roads in 2018 amounted to 42.5 billion UAH. ($ 1.6 billion). For these funds, 3800 km of roads were repaired. The size of the Road Fund in 2019 is 50.1 billion UAH. ($ 1.83 billion).
The presentation was attended by 22 companies from Henan Province. 17 of them have expressed interest in the Ukrainian market and have already received 1 previous application from Weihua Crane (lifting equipment), which is interested in negotiations with representatives of the metallurgical industry.
For reference, Henan is an actively developing industrial region. The largest enterprises operate in the energy, electrical engineering, machine-building industry, as well as in metallurgy. It is in Henan that the second largest volume of molybdenum is concentrated. Also, coal, aluminum, alkali metals and tungsten are extracted and processed in the province that is one of the main sources of regional income.
