25 February 2020News The Cabinet of Ministers adopted amendments to the legislative acts regulating the relationship between the state and subsoil users. The government of Ukraine adopted amendments to the decrees 939 and 702, which regulate the relationship between the state and subsoil users. In particular, the government has expanded the purpose of the Special Fund of the State Budget of Ukraine: from now on, the proceeds from the sale of secondary geological information can be directed to the preparation and holding of open online auctions for obtaining special permits for the development of subsoil. Special Fund funds were also allowed to be used to digitize geological information. «It will allow to accelerate the process of digitalization of the results of geological and physical researches, maps, graphical materials, which is an important step to the strategical aim achievement - establishment of a national repository of geological data, - commented the head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine Roman Opimakh. — The amendments done is a great indicator of our understanding of business demands and our interest in mining industry development, guarantee of transparent work mechanisms with a subsoil user». What is more, the amendments adopted are aimed at simplifying the access to the initial and secondary geological information, so anyone can refer to it free of charge on the resources it is stored. Protocols of the State Commission on Mineral Reserves will also be placed on open online access. Source
